Dr. Alexandra (“Alex”) White grew up in southwestern Virginia and has known from an early age that veterinary medicine was where she belonged.
Raised alongside her mom, a mixed animal veterinarian, Dr. White spent much of her childhood in and around a veterinary clinic caring for animals of all kinds. Some of her favorite childhood memories were riding along on farm calls and helping pull calves during busy calving seasons. Those early experiences helped shape her love for both animals and the people who care for them.
Dr. White earned both her undergraduate degree and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Virginia Tech, graduating from veterinary school in 2022. She joined Goose Creek Veterinary Hospital in 2023 and especially enjoys surgery and dentistry. She is passionate about helping pets live healthier, happier lives while building lasting relationships with clients and their families. Dr. White also values a fear-free approach to veterinary medicine and strives to make visits as comfortable and low-stress as possible for every patient.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. White enjoys spending time with her husband, their two young boys, and Gotham, their goofy black Labrador Retriever.
